Cambridge Writing

Today is the Cambridge writing examination from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

If you want to see the level of English we need to get to then a good choice to to check out one of the CAE help sights available.

Term planner

This will be a joint effort and will be published by Friday week 36

Here is the updated planner as of 14th November

We will plan the course together after having gone through the course description and grade guidelines.

Now the complete planner for the spring term is up and running.

Grade guidelines and course description

We will be studying according to the new grade system A-F, where "F" is a fail grade.

Here is a copy of the Course Description and grade guidelines.

They are written in Swedish.

Text book

The text book we are using is called "English C" by Eric Kinrade.
Wrong name?

Yes, but the level is right and the book is basically only a crutch or zimmer frame to stop you from falling over.

Most material will be digital and all communication will be so!

You need to look through the book today and try to harmonise its content with the pre-requisites established in the curriculum

Oral presentations

Here is the document to be used when doing oral presentations. We will be using Peer assessment for these activities

Learning vocabulary

It is of paramount importance that you improve your vocabulary and learn to use words in a context.

Here is a document to help you.

The quality and quantity of these lists WILL AFFECT your grade

Corrections

One of the most important ways of improving your English is to correct your mistakes.
Sometimes if mistakes are obvious I will do the corrections but for the most part I will you the following items (see document) to help you. You should do the corrections and resend the document
